Now.

I currently lead the Data Insights team at Fraunhofer IRB's Transformation Innovation Center in Stuttgart: computational social scientists studying how technological change and human participation shape each other. I have been at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since 2017, leading work packages in EU research projects on open science and frugal innovation along the way, among them the first open science code of conduct for aeronautic research.

Before.

I studied philosophy at the University of Stuttgart (Master of Arts, 2019) and spent seven years there as researcher and tutor, writing and teaching on artificial intelligence, metaphysics, epistemology, collective intentionality, and once, with lasting consequences, Robert Musil. Before philosophy I studied mathematics and computer science in Heidelberg and left without a degree when the questions that held me moved. Before university I spent two years as a personal assistant to severely disabled people. Nothing since has taught me more about attention.

Heart and mind.

Conscious machines have captured my attention since 2002. Mathematics and computer science since 2008. Formal philosophy since 2010. Formal meditation practice since 2022. Intuition ever since.
